Cycling along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way or cycling through the Burren National Park in Clare is something that a lot of people have on their bucket lists. Of course they do, the scenery in the Burren rivals anything else like it in the world and the Wild Atlantic Way has gained a stellar reputation as one of the top road journeys on the planet.
Ireland’s quiet road lend themselves to cycling and cycling tours. A cycle tour through the Burren is a must-do, whether it’s a guided cycle tour or an independent one. At West Coast Cycle Tours we take groups of 4 adults on cycle tours through the Burren and along the Wild Atlantic Way. Our tours are approximately 5 hours long and take in the best of scenery on offer and the best heritage stops and points on interest along the way.
West Coast Cycle Tours take groups to the Burren National Park and allow groups to cycle a distance that suits their abilities and wishes. Not everyone has to cycle a huge distance, in fact, most groups cycle just under 20km during the entire Wild Atlantic Day tour.
But what a 20 kilometres! Our visitors will visit Mullaghmore, Fr. Ted’s Parochial House, The Burren Perfumery and Hazel Mountain Chocolatiers all before lunchtime! Then, they will cycle sections of Clare’s Wild Atlantic Way – with a support vehicle on hand at all times. The views of land meeting sea here are just spellbinding – people really adore this part of the day! We wind our way along the Wild Atlantic Way until we reach the Cliffs of Moher – the highlight of Ireland’s beautiful west coast!
At the Cliffs of Moher people take a moment to relax, take once in a lifetime photographs and reflect on a day very well spent with West Coast Cycle Tours, before being returned to their accommodation.
Our cycle tour on the Wild Atlantic Way and through the Burren has won us many awards, including “Clare’s Best Tourism Experience” and a Certificate of Excellence on TripAdvisor!
If you want a cycle holiday in Ireland, West Coast Cycle Tours should be at the top of your list!
