The Wild Atlantic Day

We provide pick up at your accommodation or an arranged meeting point (in Ennis or surrounding areas). We also return our guests to their accommodation/meeting point after their tour.

time on tour

Approximately 5 hours. We like to start at 10am. This varies with each group we meet but ideally guests are home by mid-afternoon. (That said, the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Please, enjoy your tour and take your time!)

Group Size

We operate one tour per day with a maximum of 4 guests per tour. Our award-winning tours are small, intimate and tailored to your wishes.

We take all visitors from mid-teens right up. We’ve had people of all ages and cycling abilities and they’ve had wonderful days catered to their pace and fitness. Trust me, you can do it!

The Wild Atlantic Day

If you only have one day to try to pack in as much of Clare’s Wild Atlantic Way, then look no further! With West Coast Cycle Tours you will be taken right to the very heart of Clare’s unique and beautiful Burren region. Take your pick of cultural and heritage sites to visit, from the Burren Perfumery, Poulnabrone Dolmen, Corcomroe Abbey and, of course, the world famous Cliffs of Moher!

Jamie, the falconer, takes his time to show people around and answer questions at the Birds of Prey Centre
“I’d safely say, one of the best day trips I’ve had anywhere! With spectacular scenery, hidden gems of the Burren around every corner and Enda’s informed and relaxed guidance all day – it really was fulfilling. Thanks again Enda!”
Tom (Roscommon, Ireland)

Rolling down towards Doonagore Castle and Doolin on the Wild Atlantic Way!
Begin the day by hiking the beautiful Nature Trail in the Burren National Park, learn about the almost other-worldly rock formations, the rare flowers and delicate ecosystem. Take in the spectacular views all around while you hear only birdsong breaking the silence. Kick your friend in the arse outside Fr. Ted’s House! Visit Ireland’s oldest working perfumery and enjoy their fabulous tea-rooms. Take in a leisurely downhill bike ride towards Ballyvaughan and Galway Bay. View the ancient stone tombs of Poulnabrone, or be greedy and reward yourself at Hazel Mountain Chocolate, one of the world’s most remote chocolatiers! Gently wheel along the Wild Atlantic Way now as you make your way past the iconic Black Head Lighthouse and stunning Fanore beach.
Finally, after admiring the views from Doonagore Castle, you’ll make your way to the iconic and magnificent Cliffs of Moher. With the wild Atlantic pounding the rocks below you, you’ll be blown away and spellbound by the view from our ‘lesser-known’ viewpoint! Be prepared for magic!

For those concerned about ability or experience, take your time, cycle at your leisure – the support vehicle is always on hand if the legs grow tired!
